Our own air potato!
Dioscorea bulbifera, also known as bitter yam, air yam, cheeky yam, potato yam etc. is a species of true yam. It's called air potato because the bulbs look like potatos and grow on the vine instead of in the ground.
It's edible and grows wild like a weed! We planted a bulb about six months back and forgot about it. It's grown like this today. Can't wait to taste it!
Our coconut craft teacher made a model scooter with turning wheels and all, just for fun!
And see how proud bubloo is of his father! 😁
Slightly belated Onam celebrations at farm hill. While we have taken artistic liberties with the pookkalam, the sadya was much more authentic thanks to recipes from the malayali members of the community.
This was a first for many of us and much fun was had with everyone working together to create the food and decorations!

Temples and uses

Summer harvest and holiday goodies!
That's about 10kg of tomatoes done in an hour and half.

Clear blue skies, and we meet 'kids' from another school! 🙃
This is the first summer we have the water, manpower and the infrastructure to water plants. The first harvest of this summer!
Totally organically grown!
