The loveliest things are free and public! Pictured is a small pool formed by a little brook running next to Farm Hill.
Our own air potato! Dioscorea bulbifera, also known as bitter yam, air yam, cheeky yam, potato yam etc. is a species of true yam. It's called air potato because the bulbs look like potatos and grow on the vine instead of in the ground. It's edible and grows wild like a weed! We planted a bulb about six months back and forgot about it. It's grown like this today. Can't wait to taste it!
Wild passion flower
Passiflora foetida. The fruits are small and taste sweet/sour. Amazingly, the tender leaves are edible and the flowers are beautiful!
Our coconut craft teacher made a model scooter with turning wheels and all, just for fun! And see how proud bubloo is of his father! 😁
Slightly belated Onam celebrations at farm hill. While we have taken artistic liberties with the pookkalam, the sadya was much more authentic thanks to recipes from the malayali members of the community. This was a first for many of us and much fun was had with everyone working together to create the food and decorations!
